Effective 15 July 2026 · Version 1.2
CineBuddy Terms of Use
CineBuddy is for adult, public, cinema-first friendship. It is not a dating, escort, emergency, police-dispatch, ticket, transport, or background-checking service.
Adults only
Users must be 18 to 99 years old. A minor must not create an account, appear in a matching profile, or join a CineBuddy meeting.
Accounts
- Use one account and accurate age and contact information.
- Do not impersonate another person or create an account to avoid a block.
- A verification badge confirms only the stated check. It does not guarantee future conduct.
Registration agreement
Account creation separately records acceptance of the Terms and Community Standards and confirmation that the Privacy and Safety Notice was read. The record contains document versions, language, registration method, account ID, and server time. Optional location and photo choices remain separate.
Conduct
Users must accept the Community Standards. First meetings should take place in a public cinema area. Harassment, threats, hate, sexual exploitation, fraud, stalking, and unsafe pressure are prohibited.
Messages and media
Do not send illegal, abusive, deceptive, or infringing content. Upload or share only media you own or may legally share. CineBuddy does not grant a right to record or rebroadcast films. External cinemas and streaming services keep their own terms.
Founder Badge
The web version offers the optional CineBuddy Verified 10 product through Stripe for 10 EUR once. Despite the product name, the only paid entitlement is a visible Founder supporter mark. It does not verify identity, perform a background check, add CineTrust points, improve matching, change moderation, guarantee conduct or safety, buy a cinema ticket, or guarantee a match. Accounts, matching, messages, reports, safety controls, and required identity checks are not unlocked by this payment.
Stripe handles the web payment. A refunded or disputed payment can remove only the Founder supporter mark. Mandatory consumer rights remain unchanged. Native iPhone and Android billing is not live, and the external Stripe link is not shown inside those apps.
Moderation and deletion
Users can report and block. Reports must be truthful and made in good faith. Daniel's Creates Paris may review submitted reports, remove content, pause an account, preserve relevant evidence where lawful, contact a competent authority, or delete an account for safety, law, or these terms. The queue is not monitored 24/7. Users may request full deletion in the app or on the deletion page.
Emergency control
The five-second hold and ten-second cancel flow opens the device's 112 call screen. The phone still asks for confirmation. CineBuddy does not silently call, monitor a meeting, dispatch police, or guarantee help. See the Safety Notice.
Availability
Beta features can change. Movie, cinema, trailer, ticket, and streaming information can be incomplete. Users must confirm session details with the cinema. Mandatory consumer rights remain unchanged.
Law and contact
French law applies, while mandatory rights in the user's country remain. The founder and operator is Daniel Madac, operating CineBuddy through Daniel's Creates Paris, France. Contact hello@danielscreatesparis.com.
