Delete a CineBuddy account

Delete inside the app or send a safe request from the web. Deactivation alone does not count as deletion.

Inside the app

1. Open Account.
2. Choose Delete account forever.
3. Type DELETE and confirm.

Request deletion by email

Send the request from the email used for the account when possible. Use the subject CineBuddy account deletion. If the account uses a phone number, include only its last four digits.

What deletion covers

The production deletion function is active. It is designed to remove the authentication account, profile, private files, matches, and messages unless a narrow legal duty requires temporary retention. Its first signed-in end-to-end test is still pending. Any retained category and period must be explained in the Privacy Policy.

Current beta

The current beta has a connected account backend but no setup-audit member accounts. Local-only data can still be removed by clearing the app's data or uninstalling the app.
